1976 Graduated with Honors from Villa Maria Academy Private High School;
1977 Graduated with Honors in Marketing and Design from Inca-Cea Professional Institute;
1981 Graphic Arts, City College of San Francisco;
1981 Associate in Arts Education, with Honor, City College of San Francisco, California;
1981 Associate Degree in Professional Art, City college of San Francisco; 1985 Advanced Interior Design, Interior Design Institute, Las Vegas, Nevada.
CAREER HISTORY:
1985: Founded Flower Factory, a commercial interior design firm;
1998: Sold the firm to pursue diplomatic work; served as officer on the boards of directors of Nevada Executive Women in Hospitality (NEWH), President of The Chilean Association of Nevada, Board member of Child Focus, the Nevada Committee on Foreign Relations, the Consular Corps College; has always been an active member of the Latin Chamber of Commerce; has led consular missions and delegations to Chile, Argentina, Latvia and Monaco; obtained Delegated Authority Certification from the Import-Export Bank of the United States; co-founder of the Consular Chamber of Commerce and its affiliate,
Identify.nu, to facilitate and ease cross-border business;
2007: founded Chez Paulina, Ltd, a residential design, home furnishing and luxury vacation rental firm;
OTHER ACHIEVEMENTS:
2006: became the first North American member of the World Federation of Consuls (FICAC), a Brussels-based, United Nations-recognized N.G.O.
2006: First Consul from the State of Nevada to plan and execute a consular mission on trade and cultural relations between Nevada, Chile and Argentina.
2008: First Chilean to arrange, plan and host The President of Chile, HE Michelle Bachelet to the State of Nevada.
2009: Appointed FICAC North American Membership Chairperson.
2009: Became first woman and first North American Resident elected to the Board of Directors of the World Federation of Consuls (
www.ficacworld.org).
HONORS RECEIVED:
2007: Awarded the FICAC Medal of Honor in Bangkok.
2003 received the Certificate of Commendation, as president of the Chilean Association from US Senator Majority Leader Harry Reid.
2003 received a Congressional Recognition, as President of the Chilean Association from Congresswoman Shelley Berkley.
